STIRLING ROCK SCHOOL
A DIFFERENT KIND OF MUSIC SCHOOL
Professional music lessons in a creative, fully equipped recording studio.
Learn piano, keyboards, guitar and drums with experienced tutors, specialist equipment and a structured approach to learning.
Stirling Rock School is an exciting, creative music school for young musicians in Stirling, and is part of the Brian Hurren Music Academy family.
Founded by renowned Scottish musician Brian Hurren, Stirling Rock School has been helping young people develop their musical skills since 2010. Brian spent 18 years as a member of acclaimed Scottish rock band Runrig and is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter and producer.
Brian's experience as a professional musician has helped shape the way we approach music education - practical, creative and focused on making music.
A proven approach to learning music
Over more than 15 years, Brian has developed and refined a bespoke collection of teaching materials, exercises and musical resources, based on his experience as a professional musician, producer and teacher.
Stirling Rock School has access to this extensive library of resources, giving our tutors a tried-and-tested foundation from which to teach. These materials have been developed specifically around the way young people learn music, rather than relying solely on traditional classroom methods.
Our Stirling students benefit from this experience while being taught by our own dedicated team of experienced tutors, who bring their own skills, personalities and musical specialisms to the school.
Based within a recording studio, Stirling Rock School challenges the outdated classroom environment and allows students to work on their musicality in a real musical environment.
